    Word!
This past Saturday night, my friend and I traveled down to Fairfield University in CT. to see Howie Day in concert. It was amazing. He is incredibly talented. After the show, I was able to meet him. I got his autograph(for the second time..first being the release party for his cd) and a picture and we talked about the show and about some other awesome artists such as Matt Nathanson and Pat McGee.He was wicked nice and talked to a bunch of us outside. Anywhoo, just had to say that was the highlight of my weekend!

Anyway, I've decided that I am going to be writing in this journal more often. Its been hard keeping in touch with everyone and I think this is a great way to get things back on track. In terms of school, I love living on campus. I am much more relaxed and find it easier to get my work done. These last few weeks of classes are going to be pretty tough though. Lots of work to be done. I have an exam on Tuesday and a paper due Wednesday that I'll be working on the next couple of days. My roomates are great as well. Both are really cool and we all respect each other's need to have time to study.

Work is good as well. I'm loving my job at Jordan's Furniture. I actually never mind waking up and thinking, "I've got to work today." Everyone I work with is great. Most of the kids are my age or 1-2 years younger for the most part. We all get along and hang out after work all the time. Its awesome.

Well, so ends my first real journal entry in a long time. But have no fears, I will be writing often. In closing, although I have been pretty vocal in saying that I am against the war with Iraq, now that we are officially at war, I am puting those feelings aside and praying for the troops overseas and hope they make it home safe and sound. They are brave men and women! God Bless America!

    Hey ya'll
Well I have not done a great job at updating my journal since the beginning of the school year so I thought I'd write a little something while I'm waiting for the Patriots-Raiders game tonight(Go Pats)...School is going very well right now. I'm doing so well that I'm hoping to transfer after this year. My number one choice is BU because thats where i've wanted to go for a long time..I'm also going to apply to UNH and Maine..This weekend I spent Friday and Saturday at BU. I went to the two hockey games vs BC and Maine..Bu lost both games unfortunately..Even though I dont go to BU(yet) I have been a season ticket holder for 5 years now so I still have loyalty to the hockey team. As always I'm planning on going to many concerts. Because thats what I do! I just got tix for Bon Jovi/Goo Goo Dolls, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Guster and im getting tix to see Phish when they go on sale!....I finally got a job again. I start working at Jordan's Furniture in Natick at the IMAX theater there. Its looks like a very fun job and there are a lot of kids that work there..Anywho so thats a breif summary of my life as of now..I'll update some time soon..Take care everyone

    MTV awards
I just finished watching this years Video Music Awards..Here are my thoughts:

    1) Jimmy Fallon is a funny man
    2) Eminem is an asshole! Moby is the man!
    3) Dashboard Confessional rules! Congrats for winning the MTV2 award
    4) Christina Aquilera is a dirty whore
    5) DMB should have won for best group video
    6) Note to Michelle Branch: when you win the Viewers Choice Awards, you are supposed to thank the viewers!
    7) Note to Pink and Nelly: Promoting drinking on a show watched by millions of kids is not cool.
    8) Guns and Roses suck and should not have closed the show. That should have been done by Bruce Springsteen.
    9) Britney Spears looked mighty fine this evening.
    10) Avril Lavigne could be wicked hot if she didnt dress so punk-like. Her music is very good.
    11) Who invited Michael Jackson?
    12) Rudy Guilani is the man.
    13) Justin Timberlake lip synched his whole performance
    14) Those guys from Jackass need lives
    and finally........
    15) A prediction for next year: The MTV2 award will go to Howie Day. You heard it hear first.

P.S. Watch American Idol: the Finals next week and vote for Kelly. She is cute and has an awesome voice.

    what a week!!!!!!!!
I just got home from my road trip to Hartford CT. and Saratoga NY. to see the Dave Matthews Band for 4 straight shows(5 including the Great Woods show). All i can say is that im more obsessed with this band than before i left. i know that you guys probably dont think i could be any more obsessed than i was before but i am. Last night's show in saratoga was the best concert ive seen out of the 13. ill post the set later in this post. anywhoo. i left thursday with my friend for hartford. we got to the hotel in just enough time to throw our stuff in the room and head over to the Meadows for the show. good first show with an awesome version of Cry Freedom which dave did solo for the first encore song. Night 2 of the Meadows was great with Pig opening the set and an unbelievable Jimi Thing. Saturday we just hung out in Hartford cuz we werent leaving for Saratoga until sunday. On sunday, we headed out on the 3 hour journey to ny. we got to the hotel got ready and headed out to SPAC(saratoga performing arts center). I must say that SPAC is the best place ive ever seen a show. It is in the middle of a state park. It was incredibly nice. anywhoo the first show at Spac was good with Song that Jane Likes, What Would You Say, Crush, etc etc thrown in the mix. But the best concert was the last of my trip. Night 2 of SPAC was incredible. The crowd was so loud and the band responded with the best set of the year. It was also the best encore i'd ever seen. Dave came out and played a full version of Dancing Nancies solo.(first nancies since 1999). and then they were starting to play Everyday to finish out the show but the crowd was chanting "TWO STEP" "TWO STEP". it was so loud! dave then turned to the band and sure enough he stoped playing Everyday and went right into Two Step. It was a 22 minute version and ended a great concert and a great trip. Here is the complete set from night 2 at SPAC:

    1. Pig
    2. Warehouse
    3. Grey Street
    4. Proudest Monkey
    5. Satellite
    6. Don't Drink the Water
    7. One Sweet World
    8. If I Had It All
    9. Kit Kat Jam
    10. #41
    11. I Did It
    12. Raven
    13. Loving Wings
    14. Where Are You Going
    15. So Right
    16. Ants Marching
    Encore:
    17. Dancing Nancies
    18. Two Step

After 5 shows in one week, i am still ready for more shows but i'll just have to wait for the next tour. but it was a great time and im good to be home. only a few more weeks of summer left....excitement now building for college. woo hoo

My Dave Matthews Review (7/23 Great Woods)
This was one of the very best shows i've ever seen. Two Words sums it up: PROUDEST MONKEY! yup proudest monkey was played for the first time in 3 years last night. It was incredible. And it went right into Satellite like the Red Rocks cd. What You Are closed out the set with a brand new outro which is intense. The first line of the outro is "get on your knees motherfu**er". If only I had taken a picture of the two 13 year olds and their parents faces when dave said that line. It was priceless. Anyway, heres how the set went down:

    onstage 8:13pm
Cry Freedom (tease)( I couldnt hear this tease at all)
Grey Street * (nice start, crowd was still coming in at the time)
Captain * (great song, needs a little work)
#41 (Everyday outro) * (Awesome as always)
Proudest Monkey * --> (holy shit)
    Satellite * (woo hoo)
Don’t Drink the Water *( i love the intensity of this song)
You Never Know * (better and better every time i hear it)
Big Eyed Fish --> ("monkey should know stay up in your fuckin tree" haha)
Bartender * (best song off the new cd)
I Did It * (blah blah blah)
The Space Between * (again..blah blah blah)
Kit Kat Jam (with lyrics) * (this song will be awesome when they start to play it more)
Jimi Thing * (woo hoo!! I think this is their best jam song)
Digging a Ditch * (slow song, killed the crowd)
When The World Ends * (very good live)
What You Are *(great closer with the outro)
    offstage 10:22pm
    Encore
    onstage 10:31pm
Loving Wings * --> (new song, very slow)
Where Are You Going * (starting to grow on me)
Cry Freedom (tease) -->(again, didnt hear this from my seat)
Tripping Billies * (wow boyd went nuts, great way to end a great show)
    offstage 10:51pm

Overall, this show beat out the two fleetcenter shows and maybe even the Providence show. Great Woods is absolutely an awful place to see a show though. The traffic was miserable getting there and even worse getting out. We ended up chillin with some kids till about 130am to let the traffic die down. But good times all around. Well im off to Hartford and Saratoga for some more DMB action. Ya'll take care! Bye

    i'm baaaaaaaaaaaack
well i dont know why but i havent written in livejournal for a while now. i guess its just my laziness. But anywhoo ive had a pretty boring summer so far. not much to do here in ashland. but thinks are about to pick up. one week from today is the John Mayer concert. cant wait for that. Who else is going? We should all meet up. the week after that is DMB Week! Woo Hoo. July 23 is the tweeter center show. I have one ticket is sec 13 if anyone is interested. Following that show its off to hartford and saratoga for 4 more shows. Finally the montreal trip is a go! Aug 2-4(fri-sun). it will be a very nice weekend.there is an open invitation to anyone interested so just let me know. It about 150 per person for round trip bus and hotel room.......
I cant wait for college to start in september. Its going to be a good time. I am very glad that I decided to stay in Boston. Its an incredible city with so much to do. I am looking forward to starting fresh too. As I look back at the time I had at AC i just wished i was more open with everyone and talked more. Its the one thing i'll regret the most. But its a new day and I get to start over......
Anyway this is probably one of my longer posts so im gonna head out now. I hope that everyone is having a great summer and I hope to see you all soon. Take care

Howie Day is the man!! I waited in line for 2 hours, met a ton of cool kids and got a front row spot for the howie day concert at Virgin Records on Newbury Street. The place was packed. He played 5 songs about 45 min concert. He played, "Sorry so Sorry", "She Says", "Ghost", "Morning After" and "Magrigals". He was incredible. He plays the guitar and uses pedals on the ground to make percussion and guitar sounds. He doesn't use a band behind him at all. After the show, he signed a copy of his cd for everyone. I got to talk to him for a minute or so. He's a cool guy for sure. anywhoo that was my day. take care ya'll

Hey everyone! I was just listening to a copy of a new dmb song called "You Never Know" from the April 7th Fleetcenter show. Its such an awesome song. ***New Dave Matthews Band CD "Busted Stuff in stores July 16*** Just a little promo lol...Anywhoo here are the lyrics.

    "You Never Know" by DMB

    sitting still as stone
    watching

we walk by them and i wonder yeah
no one ever stops to talk of things they'd rather do
    they ever did

    what if God shuffled by
    one day we might say
    go angry not afraid
    like breathing just to breathe
that we might find some reason

    but it's rushing around
that's what's wrong with the world
don't lose the dreams inside your head
they're only there until you're dead
    dream

    lying on the roof counting
the stars that fill the sky
    wondering why
someone out there little angels looking back down on me
    you never know

    so much space to believe
    only when you're small
    the moon follows the car
there's no one but you see
hey there the moon is chasing me

and i worried if i looked away she'd be gone
don't lose the dreams inside your head
they're only there until you're dead
    dream
oh oh oh la la la

    one day fill the world
with no cares in the world
the mellow tunes come to play
she's all mine just for a day

and there's no time to waste
in the play of this game
don't lose the dreams inside your head
they're only there until you're dead
    dream

    oh fall down
it won't be so long now
out of the darkness comes light
    like a flash

you think you can you think you can
    sometimes that is the problem
    dream
    little darling
    dream

    spinning on the wind
and he fell from the limb
and every day should be a good day to die

    oh oh fall down
it won't be so long now

    i built the high love
i find it hard to explain
    how i got here
    i think i can i think i can
but then again i will falter
    dream

    i think i can i think i can
    i think i can i think i can

    oh dream
    little darling
    dream

    spinning on the wind
and we fell from the limb

Do not adjust your computer screens! It is true, i am writing my second journal entry in as many days. whoa! anywho, everyone should set the vcr up tonight. At 11pm Vh1 is reairing the Storytellers acoustic show with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. Its an awesome acousitc concert with some great songs. and to everyone wanting to go to the dmb show july 23 first, the tickets are not together. i dont even know where the 2nd seat is but it is in the pavillion not the lawn so it will be good. i dunno who'll get the seat. alot of random people must have saw my post cuz 3 people i dont even know emailed me asking if id sell it to them. dont know what thats all about but i told them no. in other news, bad news that is, norah jones show is sold out :( damn it! but i did grab a ticket to the 2nd john mayer show on the 18th.
so yesterday i visited some friends back in allston. it was a good day. i guess theres a little party at some kids house there saturday night. hmmmm sounds like a plan to me! when i left allston i was pretty upset. i had so many friends and whatnot that i didnt really want to leave. however yesterday, even though i saw some friends, i realized that allston....sucks. its really boring. theres nothing to do. i mean you can go down to the watertown mall or harvard sq but if you think about it, there not even in allston. allston has nothing and i think im starting to like ashland even more :). that is all
